Of wedding dresses and stripper shoes
It's been a lovely weekend thus far. And yes, I know that it is Sunday night, and I know that tomorrow is Monday. BUT... I am not working tomorrow. I am still in Houston, and am leaving tomorrow morning. And I think that Aimee and William will be on my flight, which is fun. :)

I got home on Friday morning and pretty much chilled with the rents all day and evening. We went to lunch at Kenny & Ziggy's, then my mom and I went shopping. I got a pair of cute shoes to match the skirt that Ali and I picked out at Daffy's last week. Perfecto! Because Carol and Steve were out of town, and we couldn't decide which movie to go see, we decided to kick it at home... We watched "Rent", which they just got on DVD. I love that movie! Saturday, Cathy came over, and then she, my mom, Rita, and I went to the dress-maker. It was nerve-wracking, but good. I mean, you can never really know how you are going to react to a situation until you find yourself in it. And, well, needless to say, my mom didn't react too well to the thought of altering her mother's wedding dress in any way other than making it "fit" me. SO... there we will not be any substantive changes. It's not that big of a deal, since I'm going to wear it for about an hour and a half (tops). I am going to focus on finding the right dress for the reception. The "me" dress. Cathy and I bonded all afternoon, which was great, since we really hadn't gotten to spend "low key" time together in a really long time. I can't remember the last time, to tell you the truth. Good stuff... She's so cute and preggers, it is beyond me. Then, Luciana arrived, and we "bonded" for a little while before it was time to meet the girls. As we do... Chuy's it was! Mmm... more creamy J. :) Love that stuff. It was great to catch up... I just wish that I wasn't so pooped! Such is life. Today was William Witherspoon's christening. It was a great day. I got lost in my old neighborhood, but it wasn't totally horrible. I passed my elementary school, which is TOTALLY different looking than I remember it. ;) The day really flew by, to tell you the truth. I can't believe it's time for beddie bye.

The good thing is that I just bought my airline tickets home for my 10-year high school reunion in June, and my Houston shower in July. I bought the tickets with miles (the 25K variety, because I'm doing it so early)! Yeah hoo! I still have enough miles (barely) to buy a ticket if I need one... so that's good. And I will be Elite soon, so I will be earning miles more quickly. So that's good, too. As much as I don't really want to go to the reunion, I feel like I should support it. So I will. And, it is Father's Day weekend, so it's not like it's a total waste. :) I'll at least get to spend some time with my dad.

Ok... this post turned really boring. sorry... It's a brain dump... So sue me!
