You don't have to leave home to go on vacation...
Tomorrow is the last day of my New York vacation. It's been lovely...
The weather hasn't been the most amazing... quite cold and damp, really... but I don't care.
NOT being at work has been an excellent recharge! And the company while I've been out of work has been top notch!
(top notch?)
Regardless. IRREGARDLESS...!
As I typed that last thought, I thought about how many different friends I've had the pleasure to spend time with since I've been out of work. It really has been amazing! I LIKE this not working! Working definitely gets in the way of my ability to catch up with friends and family.
Pooh on that!

I know that this is a challenge that many of us have... but I wish that I could find something that really got me up and out of bed in the morning. I like the type of work that I do... but sometimes, it's so uncreative that I feel starved. Someone asked me what my dream job would be. And I didn't have to think twice. I wish that I could be an artist who had endless supplies and never had to worry about money. I wanna be able to experiment in all sorts of different kinds of art... take all sorts of cool art classes... and not have to worry about funding any of it. Tee hee hee... Dream job... remember? DREAM! I do try to instill bits of creativity into my day, whether at work or after work. The challenge is when the day gets so busy... hate that.

I wonder when I'll be comfortable making a change. I do know that I'm not at that point yet. But I know that I can't (and won't) do this forever... it's not worth it.
