What a difference...
...a manager makes.

I think that's one of the most huge things that makes or breaks my day.
Chatted with the awesome manager this morning... I felt collected... I felt like I could DO my job... I felt confident...
And today I actually got a lot done, which made me feel great. It made me feel confident.

The crazy and I were supposed to go get coffee today, after she blew me off earlier this week when I mentioned that we needed to catch up. You know, on account of the fact that I was totally overwhelmed, and had come to the realization that I need to make major changes for my own sanity? Yeah... well... she disappears until about 4:55 and was like, "Wanna go grab coffee?" I looked right at her and was like, "I'm out of here... sorry... Aimee is on her way over and I really need to get gone."

So she sits on my desk and wants me to share with her what's going on. NOT in private... out in the open... where ANYONE can hear. Not like I care who hears... but STILL! So I start sharing what is going on in my head, and she isn't acting receptive at all. I can tell that she's taking things personally. But I don't have any time to explore it and dive deep into it, 'cause I know that AIMEE IS ON HER WAY.

Instead of feeling really great, like I did yesterday after talking to the awesome manager, I felt pissed that she made me rush. I mean, I know that she wanted to make sure that we touched base... but STILL... jeez... this is much more important than a five minute discussion. Ugh...

Whatever... I'm focusing on the positive. It's Friday. I had a long week, but there were steps made in the right direction. DTH tomorrow will be great fun!! And I'm looking forward to spending time relaxing and having fun with Brian, Luci, Brenda, Shannon, and Andrew (if he comes).

So I'm exhausted and I'm going to bed.
