My ipod saves me daily
Last night on the train, Yvonne was debating getting an ipod. I jokingly made a comment that I am a much happier person since buying my ipod a year and a half ago. We kinda laughed about it, but then I started thinking about just how true that comment is.

I mean, when I need to wind down after a long day, I scroll down to Sarah Mclachlan for my ride home.
When I need to WAKE UP in the morning on my way to work, I scroll to Carbon Leaf, Eric Hutchinson, or Royal Crowne Revue (this week...).

Music has such an impact on my mood, I am surprised by the fact that this was such an "insight." It's more like a "well, duh!"

And to take this one step further... This morning, I was on the train listening to "The Shins" (since I'll be seeing them in a few weeks), and was doing my GMAT homework. At the Delancey stop, a woman guided a woman onto the train. The reason I looked up was because the little girl was bawling!! And when I say bawling, I mean, CRYING BLOODY MURDER! And of course, they pick the seat right behind me... So the little girl is bawling in my ear. I did my best to *not* let this situation stress me out. I took a deep breath, then another, turned my ipod up a little bit, and then went back to my homework. It worked, because either the little girl stopped crying, or she got off of the train, because I didn't notice her anymore.

So already today, my ipod has saved me. Thank you ipod!
