HAPPY NEW YEAR! (and happy birthday little blog)
First Happy New Year!! While I usually build up New Year's Eve in my head, and then am disappointed by the turn out, last night was AWESOME! It was probably my most favorite NYE that I can remember. Had a quiet dinner at home, then met up with friends at a bar near MSG. Walked into the show as Flaming Lips were starting to play "Yoshime" (or however you spell it). It was so bizzare!! Wilco was amazing! SO MUCH FUN! Our seats were in the 12th row, left section, close to the center aisle. GOOD stuff! 15 seconds before midnight, they stopped and showed live footage of Times Square on the video monitors... And then the ballons dropped... and the confetti... it was great!

After the show, we made our way to a bar where the Guster family was hanging out. It was great to see them, but I was a tired tired girl (and my feets were a'hurtin), so we left and tried to find a cab. Of course, everyone else was trying to find a cab at the same time... so we gave up and took the subway home. It was cheaper... but took longer in my mind (even though the train came just as we made our way down to the platform). Ended up getting a piggy-back ride home, 'cause my feet were hurting THAT badly. (It's time to retire those boots... ya think?) And shortly there-after, I passed out.

So it's 2:00 and I just got my sorry booty out of bed. It's a beautiful day... and I'm looking forward to Lil'Frankie with Brian tonight. What a way to ring in the new year.

AND... Today is my blog's BIRTHDAY!! Last year I decided that I needed to journal more... and a blog was a perfect way, in my mind, to do it. And I'm really glad that I've kept with it... WOO! Happy Birthday little Blog!
