Amazing...
I don't know how I did it, but I woke up at 9:00 ish without my alarm. If left to my own devices, I can sleep all day... especially on a rainy day. Boy oh boy did it rain today! I was not too late to meeting Luci today, even with the train challenges that I had. So that's good. ;)

It's amazing how much you get done when you get moving before noon on a weekend!!

(I know, duh... but still... I have been in such "It's the weekend, I need to catch up on my sleep" mode lately that I haven't thought twice about it).

BUT... Today, Luci and I went to the Kate Spade sample sale (which was amazing!!!) and then went to lunch. I came home by about 1 and then drove up to Rockland County to visit my dad's sister's family. My cousin Cari is leaving for Austrailia next week, so my aunt planned a little get together for her. It was fun to see family and to chill on a rainy afternoon.

And now I am home. And my parking spot is pretty darn good... (it's a Thursday spot... and Thursday is turkey day... so I'm not gonna have to move her... WOO!) and I've got knitting class with Aimee, Irene, and Kari tomorrow.

OH... and Fresh Direct is coming tomorrow night and I have pies to practice making. Lordie, I hope that they turn out ok. (*fingers crossed*) I know that I don't cook that often, but I'm not the world's worst cook... so we shall see.

u2 is on SNL tonight... Gonna go watch. :)

EDIT: My friend Shana just called... she and her boyfriend Matthew got engaged!! YAY! I'm quite excited for them both!! From what she said, her new-fiance made it a very special and memorable for the two of them, and for their families.
