We Got Stung!
Sting. I've always wanted to see him live. And now I can say that I saw him live.

Had a great time with Brian, George and Doreen. One of the ladies sitting behind us actually went up to one of the ladies sitting in front of us and told her (told her!) to sit down. I was shocked! If I were the lady who was dancing (who wasn't being that annoying at all!) I would have kept on keepin on... She did sit down for a few minutes but then jumped back up again. Good for her.

(Is it a sign of a not-so-good show when you talk about the audience more than you talk about the actual performance? Perhaps).

So yeah... Brian and I decided that Sting is rocking a mullet. But we couldn't tell for sure 'cause the screens were too tiny, and showed freaky-lookin hula-hoopers instead of Sting. He also played behind a long black see-thru screen for the first part of the opener (stage malfunction) and we decided that he had a facelift that he was covering up. Um... yeah, the show was that captivating that we had to make up shit to keep us entertained between me poking Brian and making him check the Yankee score. (Don't EVEN get me started!)

He did play one of my favorite songs from Soul Cages, "Brought to my Senses"... so that made me happy. And he played "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic", which was fun, too. But poor George didn't get to hear his "King of Pain".

A good time was had by all, but in retrospect, I coulda skipped that one and gone to Beastie Boys instead and have been better off (and $40 richer!). Oh well, you live and learn.
